I love Christmas! Celebrating the birth of my Lord and Savior is the best part of the year. I often get so caught up in work and things of this world that I forget the real reason to celebrate. We are finished Christmas shopping for our kiddos. It was lots of fun and I enjoyed letting my almost 4 year old strum through toy catalogs. I stopped today and thought about the fact that we hadn't really stressed the reason for Christmas to our children. It has been mostly about what gifts they would get or the Christmas tree, etc. Those are great things but telling the story of the manger is so much more important. Please remember the reason for this holiday:)
Update: Scrappy, our newest houseguest, is an absolute doll. He is so incredibly easy going and just precious. He lays on the dog bed in the living room and gets up to eat, potty and greet anyone entering the room. He is such a sweetie. Makai goes home soon:( He's becoming like family now, but I know his mommy can't wait to see him. He and Kala are great friends now and he and the kitty still get along well too. He said he wants a kitty for Christmas mom!!
